The Torah, also referred to as The Law of Moses, is the foundation of the Jewish faith and comprises the first five books of the Old Testament in Christian bibles. It is a set of guidelines for godly living and a history of the formation and delineation of a people group.
The books of Torah are:
Bereishit | Genesis
Shemot | Exodus
Vayikra | Leviticus
Bamidbar | Numbers
Devarim | Deuteronomy
The Scripture references and their contents are provided for each book of the Torah in their respective Lessons.
There is no older recorded history than this book. Nothing in the most ancient writings which exist contradicts it. And the customs of different nations confirm what is related in the book.
Exodus is the Second Book of Torah.
It is an account of the children of Israel forming into a nation known for their God. While the previous focus was on domestic life, now, we begin to trace its effects upon the concerns of kingdoms and nations.
